Managing a large calcium lesion in a coronary artery is a challenge during coronary angioplasty. Here, we present a case of a severely calcified right coronary artery. With newer devices available, we used the Lithix IVL—a contact lithotripsy device—to treat the lesion. After multiple attempts, we achieved good expansion and implanted a well-expanded stent. This new device provides a safe option to treat complex coronary lesions and simplify the procedure.
